UP + DT

By News, Uncategorized No Comments

Finished this one up a few weeks ago. It is a one off poster that was going to be screen printed by the fantastic people over at SNAP. I love the screen printing process, you always end up with great transitions, textures and interesting layering of colours.  I really wish I could spend more time getting my hands dirty in that way.  This project was a great opportunity for me to explore that process again.  I would not say that this was the best possible idea I could have come up with but was certainly was fun.   Be sure to check out UP+DT, and on October 12 come over to the Mercer building for the poster show and I will be downstairs selling my other work at the Mercer Collective.

Gambling illustrations

By News, Uncategorized No Comments

Last Month I was contacted by RED the Agency to create some illustrations that would have a few parts that they could animate for a website that they were creating for a client. The premise was the absurdity of the superstitions/mindset that people have when gambling. The three were based on making predictions, the entertainment they provide and lucky machines. I am currently working on a new template for this website at link sbobet88 complete with an interactive roulette wheel!

2013 folkfest

This year I was invited to sell my work at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. I was thrilled as I have been wanting to go to the event for years, but have been out of town camping during the weekend that it is on. I have several fond memories of going when I was a kid, and it is amazing on how much it has grown. In addition to being accepted to vend, I was sent several images of the events grounds to use as reference material for creating a new piece for the event. I decided to make the print a limited edition run of 75 and they were a great success! I do have a few available, if you are interested, visit my shop.

Sonic boom

After doing those Illustrations for the wedding invitations for Erika and Tim, I was forwarded to the Marketing department at SONiC 102.9, which requested me to design up a poster for their Sonicboom event. It’s a kind of commemorative gig poster for the new 2 day event, The poster was sold during the event to raise funds for the Youth Empowerment, Support and services (YESS) here in Edmonton. They printed 500 of the posters and I had the pleasure of sitting down in the station to sign & number all 500 of the posters, can you say hand cramp?! It was great fun, thanks to the folks at SOCiC 102.9!
